When enabling "extend DOM Across chart" for trading using ctrl/alt sometimes the crosshair becomes inactive and as a result ctrl/alt also becomes inactive, most times just ctrl becomes inactive. Once this happens pressing ctrl will not activate the crosshair again and allow you to use ctrl to buy, but you can press alt and the crosshair will activate allowing you sell. If you are trying to buy and pressing ctrl and unable to get the crosshair to activate, you have to either just press mouse button on the chart or you can press alt and the crosshair will activate again. I know that sounds confusing, I can do a short video with sound and explain it if needed. Basically, when alternating between pressing ctrl and alt, the crosshair will become inactive, ctrl will not activate it and you cannot buy unless you either press just the mouse button on the chart or press the alt button again. Anyway to correct this so ctrl will not lose the activation and/or if it is lost then ctrl will reactivate the crosshair again? I can do a short video if needed, but you should be able to reproduce this by doing these steps. 1. Enable extend dom across chart 2. Start by holding down alt and you will see the area on dom be highlighted that it’s ready to place a sell order with a mouse click. 3. Release alt and hold down ctrl and the buy column on dom should highlight showing it’s ready to place a buy order with a mouse click, 4. Alternate doing this, hold ctrl, release, hold alt, release etc. 5. During this sequence of alternating the crosshair will lose its activation and ctrl will no longer highlight the dom and you cannot use it to place a buy order. 6. The only way to get the crosshair activated back is to either click on the chart with just the mouse or to press alt. Once either of those have been done then ctrl will work again and highlight the buy column. But it will happen over and over again. When you are trying to trade and clicking ctrl alt and back and forth you can’t have this happen with ctrl losing the ability to place a buy order. If it does, then you have to do extra steps just to get it back active. Worse, you hit ctrl and mouse click trying to enter or close a trade and realize it became inactive and the order never sent. Etc etc/ Let me know if you can reproduce it, if not I will do a short video showing it. |

We do not want to see any video. The video is not going to help us at all. Please do not provide it. We are able to reproduce this type of behavior and what we realize is the Alternate key is interpreted by the operating system and invokes the menus. Once that happens it shifts focus away from the chart. Another key has to be used other than alternate. The use of Alternate is completely out of the question. Thank you for pointing this out but we have to think about what we can replace it with. This was implemented, by a request from user some time ago, probably based upon functionality from another program. But the use of the Alternate key has consequences. Would it be possible for you to just make it a "trading keyboard shortcut"? Then people could use auto hotkey or other keys for it. "Extend DOM Across chart BUY" "Extend DOM Across chart SELL" Then it would function the same way, you have to hold down your programmed button and then click the mouse. Would that be possible? |

You guys think that might be possible to do? I Like using it that way but the alt issue ruins it, but if I could set the hotkeys they way I wanted that would be great. |
