Hi, I use Interactive Brokers with Sierra Chart. When I put in a bracket order for 3 futures contracts of mini nasdaq with an entry price of let's say 100, a stop at 90 for the whole position of 3 contracts and a take profit of only 1 contract at 110. The following happens: when the market reaches 110, one contract is taken out and the stop stays at the initial level, but the quantity is changed from 3 to 2. This is all good. But then after a few seconds the stop order for the remaining 2 contracts disappears automatically from the chart and also from IB. How can I prevent that the remaining stop order for the remaining 2 contracts disappears? Note: this does happen in live trading only. In simulated trading this does not happen. Hope to hear from you, thanks! Thomas |

Check your Trade Activity Log as it sounds like it is Interactive Brokers that is removing those orders. Review the information for the Orders and there should be information for that specific change - look at the "OrderActionSource" and see what it states as to why it was cancelled. Refer to the following for how to filter the Trade Activity Log to help get you to the specific item you are looking for: Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Do not use server-side Bracket or OCO orders with Interactive Brokers: Global Trade Settings Windows: Use Server Side Bracket Orders (if supported) (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General) Global Trade Settings Windows: Use Server Side OCO Orders (if supported) (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General) Disable both of these options. Thanks for your replys. From the trade activity log I could not find anything that I could understand to be the issue. I have also checked my trade settings, and server side bracket/oco orders were disabled. I have enclosed screenshots of: - the trade activity log - the trade settings. Can you pls advise what to do to solve this issue. Thanks Thomas |

This is definitively not something we are going to provide any help for. You have been warned about problems with Interactive Brokers: Interactive Brokers Trading Service Support policy: Support from Sierra Chart for technical issues encountered when using Interactive Brokers, is within the discretion of Sierra Chart. There are some complex technical issues that a user may encounter when using Interactive Brokers, that can have various causes which are on the side of Interactive Brokers and therefore are outside of the control of Sierra Chart. Therefore these will be hard for us to understand and assist with because they are not within Sierra Chart and the Interactive Brokers system is a highly complex system with many reasons why things may not always work as expected.
Therefore, we will not hesitate to decline support for some issues reported to us involving Interactive Brokers. Be aware of this when making a decision as to whether you should be using Interactive Brokers. What we want to avoid is where you waste a significant amount of your own time because of Interactive Brokers issues and our time gets wasted as well and then you end up giving up. So consider this carefully because we do not want you to get into trouble with Interactive Brokers. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
