Hello there Sierra, I'm a prospective customer looking to sign up for the platform to start using all of your guys advanced order flow analysis tools for my trading, however I've hit a small hick up preventing me from going forward with the complete sign up procedure. I have heard that if I do not sign up with a recognized futures broker alongside signing up and starting my payments here on Sierra, that I may get flagged as a professional trader and be forced by the CME to pay for the professional pricing for the data feeds I'm looking to use. At the moment I am looking to sign up for an AMP futures account that I will likely connect to the Teton order routing function here on Sierra in the future, but I want to use Sierra for the meanwhile to use it for orderflow analysis and execute on my Interactive brokers platform. Is there a way to pay for my advanced package 12 and get my CME data bundle without being flagged? Cause I'm super eager to get started. |

To start - the CME Group does have a requirement that you have a live, funded futures trading account in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees. And you need to be able to connect to that account at least once a month (if you are not staying connected at all times) in order to verify your non-professional standing each month. Refer to the following for more on this requirement: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges This being said, you can use Interactive Brokers for your verification. And once you have the AMP account setup, you can use that account. To connect to Interactive Brokers, follow the instructions at the following link: Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Setup Instructions The other option is to use our Delayed Streaming Data, which is available at no cost as long as you are on a Trial or Paid Package. This data acts like real-time data, only is delayed by 10-15 minutes (depending on exchange). For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks for that John. Now a follow up question I have is that if I connect my Interactive brokers account to the platform in order to keep the CME off my back about being a professional, would I still be able to have access to all of my level 2 market depth for the CME exchanges. My thought is that since I connect IB to the platform my CME data will disappear and the data I have available over at IB will be transferred over. Or like you said here, do I just have to sign in occasionally and then disconnect to go back to my regular Sierra account with my CME bundle data? Thanks again for all the help you've provided so far. |

You can do it either way. Sierra Chart is setup such that if you are getting the data from us, then it does not matter what trading service you are connected to, you will get the data from us. Refer to the information here: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services If you are not going to be trading with Interactive Brokers, then we would recommend not staying connected and just remember to connect once a month. The instructions for this can be found here: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees And you can view your "Verified Until" date for the CME Group at the following link so you can keep track of when you need to connect: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
