Hi everyone, I have a problem with my trade management with a Rithmic / Apex account, trading a spreadsheet system. For the TM I'm using 4 stops and 4 targets, the last stop is a Triggered Step Trail Stop. More often than not, the Triggered Step Trail Stop is not canceled although the according oco group target has been hit and the position is closed. Apparently, some other users ran into the same problem: Attached orders not cancelling and taking time to manually close In the last post from the linked thread, someone stated that he's a spreadsheet formula to cancel the stop, but without providing a formula. Could someone help me out with a formula that does this job? All the best |

Try this in J78: =J8=0 |

I think nothing happens. This morning I applied =J8=0 when there were already orphan stop orders. Restarted the chartbook and scss too, but the orders are still there.

Hi All, Really sorry to bring up an old thread here, but I have this exact same issue and it's driving me mad! I would like to try to implement the spreadsheet fix, but have never used the spreadsheet functionality in SC, could somebody please explain in just a little more detail where and how I place the '=J8=0'? Many thanks in advance, Bill |

What is being suggested in this thread is that you setup a "Spreadsheet System for Trading" study and put the following into cell J78: =$J$8 = 0 Cell J78 sets the option to "Cancel All Orders Except Working Attached Orders". and cell J8 gives the information for "Position Quantity". So the logic is saying "If the position quantity is zero, then cancel all orders except working attached orders". Note that these are the specific cell references when the Input for "Use Column I and J Values Version 2" is set to "No". You would have to find the specific items if that Input is set to "Yes". -- But, we are more curious as to what exactly is the problem you are having. How are you setting up your orders and what orders are not being removed? Are these attached orders or not? Hi John, Hope you're well. Many thanks for picking up such an old thread, so this is what's going on (I'm 99% sure this is a Rithmic issue). I have a TopStep account with some basic automatic trading running on a VPS in Chicago - this is all using Trading System Based on Alert Condition - not made it to the spreadsheet yet as I'm very new to all this. I'm using a bracket order with 2 targets - and Stop:Triggered Trail Stop. Every now and again when the trade is winning and the trailing stop starts moving up a rogue stop stays in its original position as a 'stale' trade. The trade actually completes when the trailing stop gets hit but the stuck rogue stop then stops all other orders until manually cleared. I hope this all makes sense.... I don't have a screenshot atm, but will grab one when it next happens (and it does happen quite a lot) Cheers! Bill |

When this occurs, look at the "Trade >> Trade Service" log and see what it states in regards to this. It does sound like the order is not being properly closed by Rithmic, but it is also possible that the order is closed, but Rithmic has not acknowledged it. You can post the contents of your Trade Service Log to this thread for us to take a look if you like. This might actually be a problem with using Move to Breakeven for Stop and Triggered Trail Stop together, although I believe this is fully supported (and generally works fine). This has just happened with my main trader using AMP, Denali and Teton - the stop did not move to BE as they are configured to and normally do and cost me the trade ultimately... Not sure if this helps... |

We would really need to see the "Trade Service Log" to see if there is anything in there that gives information on what may have occurred. Thanks John, I've had a look in the Service Log but can see nothing wrong - it's odd that's it's doing on my Teton as well so some degree... The Trade Service Log is attached as a standard txt file if you could please take a look for me. Thanks again, Bill |
