Color Bar Based on Alert Condition, Draw Style Question

I have a simple formula that I have use that I know is working because I can get it to display a "point on high" or "point on low" on the main price chart...

But I would rather use arrows or triangle up/down as the draw style...but when I apply these I don't see arrows or triangles on the main price chart...

How do I get them to appear like the "point on high/lo"?

Thanks

The options for "Point on High" and "Point on Low" specifically put the information on the High or Low and do not depend on anything to do so.

For the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition, when you use an option like "Up Arrow" then the location of that arrow is based on the "Output when Condition is True" input. Whatever that value is when the condition is true is where the arrow will be put.

Refer to the information at the following link for how to get the High or Low of a bar for this kind of item:

Use Open as input.

On Subgraph tab of study dialogue, go down to "displacement" and set to -1.

Can Color Bar Based on Alert Condition display a horizontal line leftward for a few bars from the alert bar's close price?

cmet, that uses the open price of the alert bar, and places a point at that price located one bar leftward.
What is required is for the point to be placed using the open price of the prior bar itself, and place the point there.

By the way, the quoted text placed in the brown background is a nice touch. How do you do that?

Write your formula to reference the open 1 bar ago using O[-1]. Then displace -1 as well. Not sure if that's what you're after but it's hard to know without you explaining the alert condition.

Quote box is just Quote button above the text field.

place text in between html tags.

hi cmet, Thank you for your help.

Sierra's Color Bar Based on Alert Condition now displays a "point on close of prior bar".

Can a horizontal line starting at the point,

be substituted for the point,

and extend rightward for 8-10 bars?

To do what you want you would need to have the condition be true for those "8-10" bars.
