Hi As per the title, I am trying to evaluate an alert condition to TRUE only when the current POC value is lower than the lowest migrating POC value from earlier within the same trading session. Is this possible? I can't figure out how to reference the lowest POC reached within the session in the same way that I would reference say, the price. I am using the TPO Value Area Lines study. Any assistance much appreciated. Thank you Richard |

You would need to use the "High/Low for Time Period" study and reference the TPO POC for the Low. Set the Input for "Display High/Low Incrementally" to "Yes". Refer to the following: High/Low for Time Period Then you would test the current bar against the previous bar for that subgraph, and if the current bar is lower, then you have a new low in the POC for that time period. Refer to the following: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Referencing Data Other Than on the Last Bar/Column In the Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John Thank you for your reply. I have added the High/Low for Time Period study as advised. However, I cannot see a setting that allows me to reference the TPO POC. The input data options for the study are the standard metrics such as High, Low, OHLC Avg, Volume etc. What am I missing? Thanks Richard EDIT: I figured it out in the end ... I wasn't aware of the 'Based On' settings. Thanks again Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-08-08 15:32:44
