Today I was cleaning up my laptop and deleted my Sierra chart folder on my desktop accidently. Used a disk recovery software to get it back. Now when I open the chartbook that I use everyday for several months says "chartbook file not compatible. I have tried installing previous versions and it still doesnt open. I just used the chartbook today and when I exited SC I clicked save all so should be recently saved. There are several other chartbooks that are giving the same message when trying to open them even though I have opened the others ones within the past 4-6 months. Would love to have my everyday chartbook back

We do not know exactly what happened in terms of the files. But to solve a compatibility issue with chartbooks, follow these instructions: Chartbooks (Workspaces): Opening Older Chartbooks For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

That states if the chartbook is older then 2 years. Also like I said I used that chartbook everyday for months now and clicked save all at the end of the day when colsing SC so it should always be saved with the newest SC version that I'm running correct? I can try doing the previous version thing again. Im on version 2504 so if I wanted to go back one version to when that chartbook was possibly made would it be version 2503? Thanks |

From your description of losing your data, it sounds like you may have had to load an older chartbook, which is why we suggested trying the process defined for opening a chartbook that states it is not compatible. If you have recently opened that file and it worked, then there should be a backup on your system. Try opening one of the backups. Refer to the following: Chartbooks (Workspaces): Accessing a Backup Chartbook File For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Accessing the backup folder was the solution and all works properly now. Thank you so much!
