DOM and Trade Window trading micros instead of minis

Using Denali as charts. I've tried various things but the trades are going through to Rithmic as emicros instead of eminis. How do I keep my DOM and make it and the attached trade window trade minis? Thanks

Why are you stating that they are going to Rithmic as E-Micro instead of E-Mini. In particular, if you are basing this on the currency value of the trade results, then make sure that you have the correct Currency Value per Tick entered for the chart. Dear John thank you for your patience. I'm stating it because in RTrader the symbol for the trades taken is MESM3 which is the ES emicro. Was it wrong of me to assume that if my chart is ESM3 then I would be trading minis not micros. So are you saying that irrespective of whether the chart symbol is minis or micros the currency value has to be set for every chart?

You have the Micro setup as a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". As such, when you place a trade on that chart, it is going to send the order for the MESM3 symbol. If this is not what you want, then remove the entry for MESM3 in the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". Then when you place an order on this chart, it will be for the ESM3. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing

Hello John I am still puzzled by the above issue which is now happening with a watch list. When I change the symbol using the associated watch list the DOM symbol changes but the Trade and Current Symbol stays the same as the previous selection. Even after I change it in the Symbol Settings it is still different the next time I use this symbol selection. I have read through all the relevant help pages but cannot find out a solution. Please advise thanks

In order to have the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" removed when you change symbols, you need to enable the following setting: Chart Settings: Clear Trade and Current Quote Symbol on Symbol Change (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) If you have an entry in the "Trade/Quote Symbol" within the symbol settings, then when changing symbols to that main symbol, the Trade And Current Quote symbol should update to what is in the Symbol Settings. Note that you can use the same placeholders in the Trade/Quote symbol, so you can enter MES?##-CME for example. What you enter will depend on the particular service you are using. Also make sure that the option on the Symbol Settings window for Use Custom Symbol Settings Values is enabled.
