Sierra Chart Freezing When Modifying Text (Horizontal Line)

Hello Sierra Chart, Since early last week, Sierra Chart is freezing intermittently when “modifying text” on a Horizontal Line. This only applies to a single chart which indicates that the chart itself is potentially corrupt. The following has been tried without success: - A new chartbook has been created (Save As) - All charts have been duplicated to a new chartbook (Duplicate Chart To Chartbook) - The chart in question has been duplicated to a new chartbook in isolation (Duplicate Chart To Chartbook) - The chart in question has been duplicated within the existing chartbook (Duplicate Chart) - All studies have been removed from the chart - Sierra Chart has been updated to version 2484 - Sierra Chart has been rolled back to version 2480 As above, this is intermittent, not all the time. If the chart itself is corrupt, can the levels be copied to a new chart, or must each level be added individually? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you |

We really do not know what this could be, but we are curious - does the freezing happen when you first select Modify Text and before the window comes up, or is it after you enter text and then select OK?

Hi John, The freezing happens when first selecting "Modify Text" before the window appears. Also, the freezing isn't confined to a single specific horizontal line either. It happened twice yesterday with different lines. |

We doubt we will be able to reproduce this, but please get us a chartbook with a chart in it that has shown this issue for you, so we can take a look. Hi John, I prefer not to attach a chartbook. Do you have any other suggestions? If the chart is corrupt, can levels be copied to a new chart or do they have to be created individually all over again? |

You would really have to start new. You can attach your Chartbook privately if you like - there is option for this when you select the file to attach it. Hi John, A new chart has been created with all levels recreated manually. This appears to have resolved the issue. Thank you for your help. |
