I saved a bunch of charts to my desktop and closed Sierra charts now it will not open back up? Maybe something about changing the file location on the save to desktop rather then Sierra charts files changed something when I closed the program but I can not get the program to open now?

First, we do not recommend saving Chartbooks anywhere other than the standard Data folder within the Sierra Chart installation folder. But, even having saved them to your Desktop should not be causing issues with starting Sierra Chart.

Did you change any of the settings related to the Paths for where items are stored? Refer to the following:
General Settings Window: Paths (Global Settings >> General Settings)

What exactly is occurring when you try to start your Sierra Chart? Does the program start at all? Are you able to get the Login screen? Does the program come up, but with no chartbooks open? Something else?

When I click on the icon globe, it will just spin and then nothing happens. Ive tried turning my computer off and on and that does not work. Ive tried opening the program in a couple different ways but it will just give the spin as though its trying to do something...like the mousse has a little icon that indicates your doing some computer function but then nothing will happen?

Looks like you are using a Mac. Run Sierra Chart on Windows. Do a new installation of Sierra Chart if necessary:

I’ve been using this on my Mac for 5 years. I run parallels. I have years of code stored and I will have to re write it all if I download a new installation.

Ok, we do not know what the problem is. Please try to determine what the issue is. Maybe other users can help.

Also you can transfer files from one installation to another.

Refer to:
Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation

Also by doing a new installation, this is part of the process of troubleshooting the problem. If you have no issue with the new installation, that should then help you to determine what the problem is.

EURJPY chart is stuck on the wrong date? date range is all correct and all that. Its same setting as all the other charts? its loaded to 11-22 last year date range load is set on present day? I tried downloading a different symbol on the same chart book and it loads to present...then when I change it back it doesnt download to present on EURJPY...I think I have to redonwnload the data or something?

None of the settings would be relevant. If I change the symbol it loads correctly? But change it back to EURJPY it doesn’t load correctly? Like if I change the chart book to ERUAUD it will load 100% correctly. But when I put EURJPY it doesn’t load correctly?

Please give us an image of what you see when you have EURJPY loaded by following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: Attaching or Posting a Screenshot/Image (Optional)

Also, when you have EURJPY loaded, what are the chart settings on the Data Limiting page for the following:
- Load Data Limiting Method
- Date Range From
- Date Rage To

I got it figured out I think. I did another install and that fixed it.
