Hello,

I was a subscriber for a long time and want to renew my subscription sometime next month but need to make sure that I’m selecting the correct package and data subscription.

Previously I had an account with IB and subscribed to Service Package 3. I no longer have an account with them and would like to subscribe to the lowest cost real time data service without connecting to a brokerage account.

From reading your site, I think I should select Service Package 10 with the integrated Denali data service which is $36 a month and the Nasdaq US stock exchange fee at $16 a month which includes the NYSE and AMEX.

Is there a lower price package that I should select or is the one I chose correct?

Also, I have a TradeStation account but don’t think that it’s possible to have Sierra Charts connect to TradeStation’s real time data. Is there a way to do that so I could avoid paying for Denali and the exchange fees?

Thank you.

You will have to pay someone for the data. The issue of connecting to an account is for the CME Group data, where they require that you have live, funded, futures trading account in order to allow you to get the data at their non-professional fees.

If you are not wanting data from the CME Group, then you do not need to worry about this. Therefore, what you have specified will work - you would need Package 10 (our lowest priced package that will allow you to get real-time data) and then activate the NASDAQ TotalView exchange from our Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Refer to the following for how to activate your Service Package:
Sierra Chart Purchase and License Information: Instructions

And refer to the following for the instructions to setup the NASDAQ TotalView exchange:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: All Other Exchanges*

And also be sure to review the information on our NASDAQ TotalView exchange at the following link:

If I reopened my IB account, the account minimum is now zero, used to be $10,000. If I deposited a small amount in my account would that be sufficient to be able to receive the CME Micro Russell 2000 data through Denali?

Thank you.

You really need a balance of at least 100 USD in your trading account.

Instead of IB can it be NinjaTrader which also has a brokerage service?

I realize that you don’t connect directly to NinjaTrader as you do IB but I may need both Sierra and NinjaTrader for something and would like to use NinjaTrader as my brokerage instead of IB.

Does CME or Denali care which brokerage I use as long as it’s a funded account?

Thank you.

Yes because there has to be a technical method by which Sierra Chart connects to the trading service:

Does CME or Denali care which brokerage I use as long as it’s a funded account?

With ninja trader there is not a technical method to connect to that account. This is why we created this solution:

NinjaTrader uses the CQG Trading Platform Service so that should work with Sierra Chart, right?
