Hi there, was building a comparison chart with "add additional symbol" study and "percent change since open" study. Chart has 1 day to load and I have two questions. 1) Can I specify somewhere that I want the percent comparison to start each day at 4 am without changing the session times from 24h format? 2) As shown in the screenshot some stocks just show a flat line at 0%, no chart history is shown. How can I fix this? This is for multiple symbols NFLX/SQ etc. and those are all in my intraday file update list, so the data should be there. Thanks in advance! |

1) Not if you want to use the "Percent Change since Open" study. But you could do this by using the Spreadsheet Study and getting the Price you want for the specific time, then using that to calculate the percentage. 2) Open a chart for one of the symbols for which you are having this issue and make sure you have the data. See if that also resolves the issue of the flat line and let us know. Thanks for the advice on 1). For 2) I have all the data available, opened charts in same chartbook but still only see flat lines. I have all these charts also open in another chartbook. Even on higher timeframes like 15m I have the same problem |

For the instruments that are showing a flat line, the problem is that there is no data for the first point that is defined. For example, for the symbol BA, you have the Percent Change Since Open to use First Bar in Chart for the Start Time. The first bar in the chart has a timestamp of 04:00:00. BA does not have any trades at that time, so the first bar for BA does not appear until 04:06:00. Even with the option in the Add Additional Symbol of Fill Blanks with Last Value set to Yes, since there is no previous data to 04:06:00, there is nothing to fill in until after that time. In the end, you will have to figure out how to do this and have data at the beginning time. Our offhand recommendation is to use a starting time that is during a busier period (like the beginning of the Regular Trading Hours, rather than the middle of the night).
