Hi, I have stock package 5 data and package 11 data, why can't I view the $VIX. Do I need yet another data package to view the volatility index? |

You need to activate the CBOE Indices that is part of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. You have already setup the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for the U.S. Equities - so it is just a matter of activating the exchange. You can do this at the following link: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ExchangeDataFeedFeatures#Exchanges For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

hello I would like to remove the CBOE Index data ($5.25, see image). I can view my recurring data charges but not how to remove. I would like to remove this service. Also what is the purpose of having the "Exchange Data Feed: 250 Real-Time Symbols (1st Connection)", what benefit does this 'feed' add?? (DO NOT REMOVE, just asking its use). |

We have deactivated the CBOE Indices exchange for you. You will still have access to this data through the end of the month, but it will not renew on April 1, 2023 now. The "Exchange Data Feed: 250 Real-Time Symbols (1st Connection)" is the data feed itself. It is our portion of the cost of the data feed, whereas the exchange fees go straight to the exchanges (we do not get any of those funds). We have setup the Denali Exchange Data Feed differently, which is why you do not see this for Denali. thanks for canceling the CBOE Index data. Can we review my data because I have trading buddies who trade same as me but dont have the $3.50 "Denali - Activated Exchange: Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for non-professional Trading accounts" but I do. I trade ES and CL 98% of the time and occasionally a few S&P 500 large cap equities and small caps. I like having the $10.50 activated exchange data even though I get NDSQ data with package 11. My question is do I need the red box data in the image to successfully trade ES, large caps and small caps? Thank you John for your guidance on this topic |

We are not sure exactly the question, but you do NOT need to have both the Full CME Group with Market Depth and the Full CME Group exchanges active. Just one or the other. Whichever one you do not need, you will want to deactivate it. We can not give refunds for the exchanges, as the fees go to the exchanges themselves and they do not give refunds. I am not asking for refund, but can you confirm on image which two are redundant? is it 2 and 3 that are redundant? and why is there such a significant price difference if these two are redundant. thanks |

They are not "Redundant". They are "Exclusive". Meaning that you do not need both. If you need Market Depth Data, then you would only need the one named "Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth Data for Non-Professional Trading accounts". On the other hand, if you do not need Market Depth data, then you would only need the one named "Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for Non-Professional Trading Accounts". The difference is price is due to the Market Depth data For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John, Last question. I understand market depth data is like Level 2 data on a broker platform like DAS with Interactive Brokers; it gives one the ability to see orders on the book that have not yet been transacted (tape). If this is an accurate explanation / understanding then my question is: If I do not use DOM or "forward looking" studies or Sierra Chart Tools to trade would I be affecting the speed of my order flow (tape) using Numbers Bars Study by removing the Market Depth Data? or do I recall correctly that the Numbers Bars Study requires Market Depth Data? Lastly, if Market Depth Data is required for my techniques then please cancel the "Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for Non-Professional Trading Accounts". |

Yes, this is correct. Refer to the following: Sierra Chart Nomenclature: Market Depth If I do not use DOM or "forward looking" studies or Sierra Chart Tools to trade would I be affecting the speed of my order flow (tape) using Numbers Bars Study by removing the Market Depth Data? or do I recall correctly that the Numbers Bars Study requires Market Depth Data?
Arguably, you could improve your data flow by not having the Market Depth, but if you have a good connection, it probably will not make any difference. It is not something we have looked at, so we can't give specific information (and it will depend on your connection to the data source). The Numbers Bars study does NOT require the Market Depth data. The Numbers Bars data is all based on actual trades that have occurred. Lastly, if Market Depth Data is required for my techniques then please cancel the "Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for Non-Professional Trading Accounts".
We do not know if you need the Market Depth data or not. It is something you have to decide. Whichever way you go, you can deactivate the exchange you do not need at the following link: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
