I did it by recording a wave file saying "connection lost" another one saying " reconnected", placed them in the data folder, in the alert sounds folder, then went into global settings>>general settings>>alert settings, selected the wave files for alert 1 and alert 2 (or whatever numbers you wish), gave them names in the user defined names box, then went to general settings>>general 2, and picked my two alerts in the server connected and connection lost dropdown menu boxes. You could use any alert sounds you like of course just put them in that folder and they should work.

The alert settings for the server connection are in Global Settings >> General Settings >> General 2.

The next big thing - Push notification for iOs and Android

Maybe all you need is a sierra chart app just for the notifications. that would really make life perfect for us.

Isn't push a text message? It even will text you the message that was triggered.Happens within 2-3 seconds after disconnect as long as your computer is on. Use your carriers prefix with your phone number instead of an actual email address. I also use it to text me when key support and resistance levels are reached.

I didn't get it, you can send a text message to your phone from sierra?
can you add a screen shot of how you set it up?

Thanks

For text messages, the default email address is your 10-digit wireless numberfollowed by @txt.att.net (example: 5551234567@txt.att.net).
This is an example. Use your own provider.

Do this instead of a email address

att.net -- is that AT&T? Would that only work with AT&T as your carrier?

All cell phone carriers have email-to-text capability:
