Ready to Upgrade to Sierra Chart Service Package 10, 11 or 12. Which one?

Hello, I’m ready to get in touch with Stage-5-Trading to set up a Live Trading account, which means I will have to upgrade my Sierra Chart Service Package.

However, there are a number of factors I’m unclear about and will need some clarification for how to proceed.

As I will want to trade Micros using Number Bars, Delta stats & OCO Orders with Trailing Stop Loss as per my simulated trading setups, I’m assuming I shall need to upgrade to either package 10, 11, or 12. I’m not sure which one, but I do know I favour the Teton / Denali Exchange Data Feed which I understand comes with those packages. Therefore, I’d be grateful if you can advise which of the 3 Service Packages suits my purpose.

I’m aware that I will need to set up an account with a broker, and, upon listening to Anthony discussing the advantages of the Teton Order Routing with the guy from Stage-5-Trading (YouTube video), I’m somewhat confused as to the reason for that relationship. I mean, if my Sierra Chart Service Package already includes Teton, then why would I need Stage-5-Trading, as recommended by Anthony, to facilitate that?

Naturally, once my Service Package has been set up, I will contact Stage-5-Trading who, I understand are independent brokers, to sort the final arrangements for going live.

Meanwhile, could you kindly confirm which of the three upgraded Service Packages 10, 11 or 12 suit my requirements, prior to my payment for the upgrade.

You are correct - you need to be on one of the Integrated Packages (10, 11, or 12) in order to make a connection to a trading service and/or to get real-time data.

Since you state that you need the Numbers Bars, this would mean you need either Package 11 or 12, as Package 10 does not have support for the Numbers Bars. The difference between packages 11 and 12 is that Package 12 gives you the ability to see the Market by Order data. Therefore, if you need the Market by Order data, then you will want to be on Package 12, otherwise Package 11 is what you need.

With regards to the need for a broker, that is because although Sierra Chart created the Teton Order Routing software, you still need to have a broker to handle your trades. We (Sierra Chart) are not a broker.

You will want to follow through the steps at the following link to setup the Teton Order Routing Service for your account:

Note that you will need to go through the setup for the Denali Exchange Data Feed as part of those instructions.

Yesterday I upgraded incorrectly from package 5 to 10 but needed to upgrade to package 11. Can you please make the change and I will pay the $10 difference?

With regard to getting Real-time CME Group Data via Denali, we must ask: do you have a Futures Trading Account?

The CME Group expects you to have a Futures Trading Account in order to qualify as a Non-Professional
[*Note: we know of only the CME having this rule, not EUREX, not CFE, not NASDAQ, not NYSE, just CME*]

From the CME Certification:
"The Non-Professional Subscriber must:
a. have an active and funded futures trading account;
b. be an individual, natural person or small business entity"

Sorry . . . I tried to follow the instructions to upgrade my Service Package from 5 to 11, but, as is typically the case, I found myself going around and around and around and around and around and around in circles. Could someone with a decidedly higher IQ than my evidently limited intelligence, kindly guide me through the Sierra info maze that frequently leads me into a mind-boggling swamp that drowns my pathetic whimpers of despair?

I have already established a relationship with Alberto at Stage-5-Trading, and my account with Dorman Trading has been accepted and funded. All I need now is to upgrade my Service Package from 5 to 11 . . . please.

Thanking you in advance for tolerating my embarrassing inadequacy . . .

PS. By all means, a Customer Service telephone call to assist in this Package Upgrade Payment would be welcome.
