I run a basic DOM on my main instance then chartbooks in separate instances. All of my sub instances locked up. I restarted the program and none of the sub instances will connect. I then updated to the latest version of SC and still have the same problem. Right now I just have the main instance, which is connected and one sub instance that will not connect open. I did not change any settings anywhere during the process. Here is the message log from the sub instance that will not connect. Please advise, thank you! Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-10-07 19:35:07

If the main instance is really running, we would recommend exiting from all of the sub instances and starting them again through File >> New Instance. The other possibility is that a firewall on your computer is blocking the connection from the sub instance. The other possibility is that this port number is not a good port number to be using: 65511 That is not the port that is normally used for the DTC server. This is controlled through Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> DTC Protocol. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. It just started working after closing the sub instance. IDK what happened. I woke up and my computer was off, but everything was fine until just an hour or so ago. Right b4 it happened I turned off a web cam program. Which port should I change it to? Thanks! |
