hello I encounter the following problem with my status bar: if I activate 'file > disconnect', the bar turns red and if I activate 'file > connect to datafeed' it goes back to green. on the other hand, if I cut my network access, the loss of connection is well recorded at the level of the sierra logs: -------- SC Data - All Services | Disconnected from the server. | 2022-09-29 22:57:13.986 SC Data - All Services | Data feed disconnected. Will reconnect in 2 seconds. | 2022-09-29 22:57:13.986 DTC Client socket (1) | Closed. | 2022-09-29 22:57:13.986 --------- but the status bar does not react and remains green. I did not find any reference in the sierra docs nor in the FAQ to deal with this problem. I also tried to look for the doc on the functionality window > server status monitoring window without success. Thanks for your help |

What you see does make sense. The market data connections in many cases work in the background and do not affect the main data feed status. Support, Can sc.ServerConnectionState be updated to include these background connections? Or perhaps a secondary ASCIL variable called sc.BackgroundServerConnectionState could be added? Thanks. |

No, that is far too involved. And there are multiple connections, more than just one depending upon the symbols being used. There would have to be a separate variable for each connection. It is just too involved for us to be spending time on. It is not something we would do. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
