Hi, I have just started using new instances for my Chartbooks. I am running 3 instances. The first instance works without any problems. When I open the 2/3 instances they work for a while and then they stop updating live data. I made the instances by using file> New instance as per the SC instructions. I have read the other support threads and notice that when other people have a problem you request the msg log so I have attached that for you. When I exit the instance I get a message stating that I have open positions but this is not the case. I have attached a screen shot showing the message. When I exit all 3 instances and then reopen them they all work fine for a period of time before the 2/3 instance stops updating data again. Thanks for your help. |

It does not really make sense that the data feed would just simply stop. That should just simply not happen at all. As long as Sierra Chart is connected to the data feed (File >> Connect to Data Feed). Refer to help topic 3: Intraday Chart or Chart Bars Not Updating | Blank Intraday Chart | "Currently no data to display" message for Intraday Chart Refer to this particular subsection to see if you are receiving data to that instance: Intraday Chart or Chart Bars Not Updating | Blank Intraday Chart | "Currently no data to display" message for Intraday Chart: 3.4 - Not Receiving Real-Time Data From Data Feed It also looks like you are not using Windows. So the problem may actually be due to that. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
