Hi, I downloaded a trial of Sierra Charts on about August 19. I would like to continue with the service. Will I be automatically charged the monthly fee to continue, or do I need to do additional activation? I already purchased an annual real time data membership. Please advise if I need to do anything else. thank you. Desserttrader II |

The only thing you would need to do is pay exchange fees for the exchanges you want real-time data for. What exchanges do you need real-time data for, if any? Otherwise, you will receive delayed data for them. In which case you can use our Service Package 5 instead. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi, Thank you for your response. I already purchased an annual subscription to 'Service Package 11". Does that also cover the exchange fee's or do I need to do anything else? Best, Deserttrader |

Hi, I primarily use IB for my broker and know the commissions and exchange fee's I pay there. I just wanted to confirm if there is anything else I need to do with my Sierra Charts subscription since I believe my trial period is now over and I have not seen a charge on my AMEX for the monthly $49.00 charge. Thanks |

Hi, I believe I signed all the agreements I need to for ES Futures data. Please let me know if I'm missing anything on agreements. Is there an easier way for me to prove to Sierra Charts that I already have an active IB account without going through the involved IB set-up? I don't want their data and therefor paid Sierra $386.00 annual fee. Please advise. Thank you. |

Since you are wanting data from the CME Group, you need to prove that you have a live, funded, futures trading account in order to qualify for the much-lower priced, non-professional exchanges. Therefore, you will need to connect to your IB account at least once a month. Refer to the following items: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees Again, the instructions to connect to IB are at the following: Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Setup Instructions -- In terms of setting up the Denali data, the first thing is that you need to redo the agreements and make sure you enter "Interactive Brokers" for the "FCM", and also put in your account number. You can access the agreements at the following link: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ExchangeAgreements And once you get the agreements approved, then you can activate the exchange(s) that you want at the following link: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi, I followed the instructions exactly for IB set down to step 17 which seems to be the requirements to connect to Sierra Charts. Sierra charts will run on another computer so I put in the IP address for it into IB and set the configuration as required in Sierra. I am getting a message log that's running and a test box that states 'Connection error message from service. Interactive Brokers Note: Is the Interactive Brokers TWS software running and is it enabled for socket clients? Date-Time 2022-09-03 09.43.24. The software is running on my other computer and I did everything in the instructions and don't know what the problem is now. I just want to run Sierra charts with the service 11 data feed package I purchase to run. Please advise. Best, John |

We cannot help with connecting to Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation across different computers. If you are not able to get that working, it is not within the scope of our support to help with that. Connect to TWS only on the same computer where Sierra Chart is running. Hi, I now have IB TWS and Sierra Chart on the same computer and both are currently running. Appreciate if you can activate both my Sierra Chart account and my real data service package 11 I have already paid for on an annual basis? Please advise when complete. Let me know if you need anything else. Thank you. Best, John |

And did you connect Sierra Chart your live Interactive Brokers account? We do not see an indication of that on your Sierra Chart account. Let us know when that is done.

Hi, The agreements require me to provide account numbers and clearing information for IB that I am not comfortable providing. Please provide the link for opening an account at another futures broker where I can fund a couple hundred dollars to satisfy this requirement. Frankly, I never had to go through this kind of process to prove I am a non-professional. I was subscribed to barcharts realtime data for a number of years to support another one of my independent platforms and never requested to go through proving I had a live non-professional trading account. Thanks... John |

Yes the CME does make this difficult. We do not set the rules. We do know that Barchart would at least ask for the name of the broker and they would contact the broker monthly to make sure you have an account. We use a combination of technical verification and also asking for the name of the broker and the account number because that is what our vendor of record wants in order for them to comply with the CME rules. We are the ones who have to handle exchange audits. And we always have to be very thorough with all of the details and be compliant. Refer to: Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement And if you think this is not good, for some customers we ask them for their trading account statements monthly, if they do not have an account with a supported trading service which we can use a technical verification method with. This is the tyranny we live under in this world. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
