Been using service package 5 for a long time now with a self purchased CQG feed through Tradovate (my broker). I use Sierra charts for charting CME futures. I see that it now requires a higher service package. I've updated to package 11. Now is says that data is only available with the Denali feed which required an addition $11 for non-pro cme only. 1. Why does my cqg feed no longer work with data? 1.a IF i'm not trading through sierra do I even need this now with the new requirements ? 2. If I'm just using sierra to chart, do is there a more cost effective way to do it than paying broker for feed and higher package and denali feed? Thank you. |

1. We made a change with version 2394 and above, that the CQG data for the CME Group and EUREX is no longer being brought into Sierra Chart. You could downgrade to version 2393 and continue to use the CQG data, but we really recommend adding our Denali Exchange Data feed instead and then discontinuing the CQG data, if you do not need it for other purposes. 1a. You still need to be on one of the Integrated packages (Package 10, 11, or 12) in order to get real-time data either from CQG or from us. 2. There is not another option, except as noted above. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks for the response. Makes me wonder what all the packages below 10 are if you can't get real time data for any of them. Special use case I guess now. Just some customer feedback: It use to be clear what was necessary, and for the life of me now it just seems like a tangled mess. It takes a fair bit of reading and understanding to see that you now need a $46 + $11 account to get the minimum real time data for cme. Perhaps it's because it made more sense before and now it seems confusing that external data is gone. Maybe someone that is new to Sierra charts and didnt see what we had before would find what they are looking at more clearly. thanks again. |
