I've searched bit can't seem to locate the answer...hoping someone can assist. I would like to have an extending rectangle be automatically drawn on a chart using price levels I can update in a spreadsheet. Is this an easy thing to execute with existing indicators? or does require ACSIL or other programming? - Thanks |

To actually draw a rectangle would require programming a custom study to read the cells with the information you want and then draw the rectangle. But, you can cheat this (somewhat), by using 2 columns in the Spreadsheet Study and having them have the upper and lower values of the rectangle you want when they are true (using an IF statement) and then setting those subgraphs to use a Fill option. This will then color in the area between the values. Refer to the following for how to fill in the area between subgraphs: Chart Studies: Filling the Area Between Two Study Subgraphs within Same Study For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you for this info...I was able to create rectangles using the method you outlined. Is there also a way to extend the rectangles out to the right (future)? *I have tried experimenting with the fill style settings but can't seem to find a way. - Thanks |

There is not a way to extend the "rectangle" using the workaround we gave you. That is where it is not a perfect replacement.
