If you are running the software using an emulator on a MAC, then we recommend setting the compression for data files to "No Compression". Refer to the information here: Sierra Chart Server Settings: Use Real-Time Data Compression (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> General) If you are not on a MaC, and if you have a chart open for TICK-NYSE, then select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. This will remove the file and then redownload the data. Let us know if this resolves the issue. Running on Windows 10 no emulation. I set the real time data compression to false and did delete all data and download, reconnected to the data feed and no change. Restarted SC and no change, still logging that event continuously.

We called and left a message. This is not making any sense to us. We can see how there could be a scenario when you disable compression it is not actually getting disabled. We will put out a new release to resolve that but you should not be getting the message repetitively. That indicates, that particular file (S:\SierraChart\Data\TICK-NYSE.scid ) is getting opened over and over again and we do not know why. Would you know why? And what type of storage system is this? Sorry I missed the call so many thanks for following up. The issue may be the storage; this is run from a CIFS share on a NAS. It also could be getting opened in some sort of circular loop I will check with Kim Hemmes who built the indicators the chart is using. It could be a study that is causing it as I have the same instrument on a chart in another workspace that does not have this error; it only occurs on that other workspace.
