When I close and reopene my chartbook, the candle OHLCs are different for each candle. The candles are alternating between 2 different OHLCs for each candle each time I close and reopen the chartbook and I can't control which OHLC I have for each candle and don't know why this is happening either. This is on ESU22 since 5th July 2022.

The chart that you sent us does not have any studies on it. We need the chart exactly as you have it setup so we can see if we can reproduce the issue you are seeing. Please attach it again with the study for which you are having the issue on it.

It just happened again to a different chart in another chartbook. I've also added this other chart to this chartbook now as well.

Changing bars definitely will happen with variable time frame bars like you are using. Make sure this option is enabled for those charts: Chart Settings: New Bar at Session Start (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Intraday Chart Session Times menu) More information: Working With Charts: Resolving Differences of Chart Bars Between Charts Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I think my problem has been misunderstood. The problem is that one single chart is different when it refreshes sometimes. If I either close the chartbook and reopen it, or duplicate it without changing any settings, the candles' OHLC that have already closed will change.

We fully understand. Keep in mind that if the option for New Bar at Session Start is set to No, then the beginning point for the summation of the data in your chart is the first bar in the chart. Sierra Chart, in general, does not update a chart for the number of days unless the chart is reloaded. Therefore, even if you had specified 30 days to load for a chart, if you leave that chart open for the next 3 days, you will then have 33 days in the chart. But if you Reload the chart, then it will reload only the past 30. Therefore, what you are seeing is normal, as the beginning point of your summation is changing when you close and reopen the software. To get around this, you should either use the Date Range for your data limiting method so you can have a consistent start date, or set the option for New Bar At Session Start to yes so the summation will start with each new session.
