INTRADAY DATA NOT LOADING FOR PAST 4 MONTHS ON ALL INDEXES

Hello Sierra
I have a single chart set with all the major indexes in it such as GER40, UK100, JPN225 etc. Set as DAY they all display, but for any Intraday setting, data is downloaded up to about February 2022 and then stops downloading from Feb 22 to Today (Jul 22)and on some charts - only shows a single candle on the left hand side. I have gone through the usual delete and download etc but with no luck. I have even tried with a fesh chart set from Find Symbol (I'm on Version 2411) but this gives just today and If I select anything but the default setting then it defaults to the last candle only showing. Please advise - Regards Mark B

Follow the instructions here to update the Symbol Settings:
Global Symbol Settings: Update Global Symbol Settings

We also want you to disable Use Custom Symbol Settings Values.

If you still have an issue:

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Fully re-download the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >>Delete All Data and Download".

After about a minute provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:

Hello Sierra - I sent a response 2-3 days ago where you asked for my message log. Did you receive this? I do not see any history of it. I am finding it very frustrating that I can not see properly quite of the indices I load to trade against. This is not a new problem and one that I have seen on your platform for years where data will only partially load on some symbols or screens will not load more than a few candles. I thought by now you would have resolved basic stuff like this. Cheers - Mark

We were not aware the log was sent. We will check it now. You did not follow the instructions. You need to tell us, that you sent the log the way that you did. The instructions say this!

Otherwise, we have no idea. And furthermore, you have given us a massive log. That is not what the instructions are saying.

We only need this for one symbol you have a problem with. Just one symbol only. One symbol only!

You should never have a problem like this, unless you have a connectivity issue:
This is not a new problem and one that I have seen on your platform for years where data will only partially load on some symbols or screens will not load more than a few candles. I thought by now you would have resolved basic stuff like this

This would have to be due to connectivity issues. There definitely are no internal problems with Sierra Chart related to this. That would not be possible. It would have to be due to connectivity issues or Symbol Settings which are not correct or have been changed by the user.

We looked at your log again, and we see 42 times this:
DTC Client socket (3) | Close event error. Windows error code 10053: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. | 2022-07-05 10:42:07.622 *

You absolutely have a connectivity issue from your side. This is the reason for the problems. Maybe it is a problem with the computer not being capable enough for what you are doing.

Hello Sierra - Many thanks and Bravo for your additional comments for going the extra mile - Increasing the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit setting (In Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings) from 1 Tick to 1 Minute cured all my missing Intraday data (even on a 5 year old A10 Laptop!!) - Thanks again - Mark
