I would like to run a second instance of Sierra Chart on a laptop. My broker is AMP and the laptop is already running a separate installation of Sierra on an account that I have with Infinity/Transact/Ninja. I want to discontinue that separate installation and use the AMP account to run Sierra on the laptop. I use Denali for data on AMP. Do I need to reinstall Sierra on the laptop or do I just change settings to match the AMP installation that I am already running on the desktop. Also, it says on my service selection page on Sierra that I am only running one installation out of 3 available. Is that right? Can I run this on up to three computers or is it two? Thanks in advance. I tried calling AMP for help and they said it all runs through you.

In order to use the other instance to connect to your AMP account, you just need to change the Data/Trade Service Settings to connect to your CQG account (making them the same as your other installation).

And yes, you can run Sierra Chart on up to 3 different computers simultaneously, with any number of installations per computer.

But, the data is a different matter, as the exchanges have their own rules. Specifically, with the Denali Exchange Data Feed, you can have 2 installations on the same computer connecting to the data feed without any additional costs or issues.

But, in order to get data to two different computers at the same time, you need to pay for the exchange fee twice. Refer to the following information on the Denali data feed connections:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Connections

If you are not using both systems at the same time, then you can get away with just the one (standard) computer connection for the data feed.

Thank you for the response. A point of clarification -- I have the Denali feed already on the Transact account. See attached file. I do not have CQG. How do I change the existing settings so the laptop is coordinated with the AMP account? Thanks again.

After reviewing my AMP account, I do use CQG for trading. So is the only change that I have to make is to the Data/Trade Service Settings to make them the same as on my AMP installation and then add the additional exchange fee for Denali if I will be on two computers at the same time? Thanks again.

You are not using the Denali Exchange Data Feed. You have no exchanges active with that data feed.

Is post #3 and 4 from the same user? If so, disregard our above message. Your posting from two different accounts and confusing us.

How do I change the existing settings so the laptop is coordinated with the AMP account?
AMP uses CQG, so follow the CQG setup instructions here:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

and then add the additional exchange fee for Denali if I will be on two computers at the same time?
Yes.

Almost there. I have my AMP Sierra installation running on the laptop. Before I did any of this I signed up for a second exchange fee for Denali. I can run Sierra independently on the laptop, but when I try to run them at the same time I get the message CQG WEBAPI|Received LoggedOFF message. Reason: Your session was closed due to a concurrent session. Shouldn't I be able to run both at the same time if I am paying for the second Denali exchange fee? thanks for your help that got me this far.

That message you are receiving is from CQG. It sounds like they are not allowing for a second connection at the same time. You will need to check with your broker on this.

CQG does not allow 2 connections per user name.

Only one. For multiple simultaneous connections you need to use Teton order routing:
