Hi Sierra chart Team, I wanted to report a bug in the data feed, when I connect in all datas the downloading and loading of the data is fast and hassle-free, but as soon as I switch to Teton routing, the cpu goes to 100% and the platform bug for several minutes, and every time I make changes to a study it bugs. I downgraded to lower versions but the problem persists. I tried safe mode, I thought it might be due to the studies I was using but it was the same thing, when I connect everything is normal, I open a new chartbook with charts everything is normal, but as soon as I launch my old chartbook with several charts (TPO footprint chart overlay) etc it bugs directly and sometimes takes more than 15 minutes for it to launch and after even when I make changes to a chart it lags another time. and when I check my task manager it says not responding and crash report below sierra chart. please help me to fix this bug regards |

I lightened the two chartbooks by cutting them in half on 2 instances but still the same problem of lag each time the data connects or disconnects or when I put a change in any studies.

amir50, I am planning using Teton too, just out of curiosity, what is your chart update interval? Thanks!

I found the issue, it only happens when I connect with Teton order routing, I tried with SC Data all service, everything loads quickly even with loaded chartbooks, so you have to see the Teton data side.

We looked at this Chartbook and there is a lot of processing in the Volume by Price study. We are not sure what instance. Most likely it is because of this: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.23 - Chart Tick Size and Volume at Price Processing If you have been using a larger tick size, then it would return back to default when changing the service like to Teton order routing. So the help topic linked above gives solutions. You will just have to wait until the Chartbook becomes responsive to interact with it. After you open it you can select File >> Disconnect and then wait for all the data to download and be responsive again. In the end if there is just too much processing the Chartbook is doing and you do not have a chance to interact with it, you may have to abandoned it and start a new one. It definitely has to do with Study Settings and Chart Settings and the data. You will want to use sub instances. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you for the answer, I read the whole page and I lightened my chartbook and I had to adjust parameters, it reduced the lag time. I thank the Sierra chart engineering team for the help. Good day to you |
