SCSS and Excel calculating differently

I understand that sometimes log and lin are used, Im wondering if this is a glitch or if its that I need to change calculation parameters or what else I might be able to do? PROBLEM : Excel and Sierra chart spreadsheet appear to calculate differently QUESTION : Is there a way to fix this? Thank you |

There could not be any differences with Square Root or Sum. Those are done in a very standardized way and cannot be any difference. We can provide the formula for standard deviation and then you have to make your own determination as to where the problem is. We looked into this, and the formula that Sierra Chart uses for the spreadsheet standard deviation function is the same as what is documented here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/stdev-function-51fecaaa-231e-4bbb-9230-33650a72c9b0 There is also an example there, which lists a series of numbers and the result. You can use those same numbers with the Sierra Chart standard deviation spreadsheet function and you should get the same result. So you can verify it is the same.
