We looked into this, and the formula that Sierra Chart uses for the spreadsheet standard deviation function is the same as what is documented here:

There is also an example there, which lists a series of numbers and the result. You can use those same numbers with the Sierra Chart standard deviation spreadsheet function and you should get the same result. So you can verify it is the same.
