how can i correct qty change default on 2 tgt exits?

ie...when position is +3 and I wish to exit 2/3 @tgt1 and 1/3 @tgt2....trade configuration keeps defaulting to opposite of what i want:
exit 1/3 @tgt1 exit 2/3 @tgt2...

i want to keep trade config...at 2/3 exit@tgt1 and 1/3 exit@tgt2

please advise...thks

We assume that you are stating that it is changing which target when you change the quantity. So if you were starting with a quantity of 2 and then change to 3, it is adding the additional quantity to the target you did not want it added to.

In this case, this is just how the software decides where to add the additional quantity. To work around it, you would need to change your Target 2 to be the values for Target 1 and vice versa, that way when you have an odd quantity, it is adding it to Target 2, which is the target you want it added to.

1. if i have template set FOR 3 contracts and exit 2@ TGT1 and 1@ TGT2
2. now change QTY to 2 contracts...exits split 1 and 1.
3. now change qty back to 3 contracts...exits are 1 @TGT1 and 2 @TGT2

THE TEMPLATE IS NOT SAVED THAT WAY...IT IS SAVED 2/3 OUT @T1 AND 1/3 OUT AT T2..
WHY IS IT FLIPPING?

RISK MATH IS INVERTED...i WANT RISK OFF @T1...NOT CONTINUED RISK

The reason you are getting this is because you are changing the quantity, you are not reselecting the template. Do the following and you will be fine:

1. Select template that has quantity of 3.
2. Change quantity to 2.
3. Select template that has a quantity of 3.

The template name stays at the top when you change quantity, so even though it appears to be selected, it is not. You need to reselect it when you want your quantity of 3 and the targets set the way you want.
