Afternoon, I have a question regarding the number of candles I am able to see on the chart, for example on a 4hr chart (F.US.MESM22) I am only able to see until 2022-03-09 (147 candles only) Could you please tell me what setting must be changed in order to have more history? I am using Denali Exchange Data Feed. I have changed the following settings to no avail: Date Range in File from (YYYY-MM-DD) Date Range in File to(YYYY-MM-DD) Days to Load For Intraday Chart Data Type Continuous Contract (List) Thank you, |

If you are referring to the number of candles that you can see on the screen at one time, then this is limited to when each bar is taking up 1 pixel of space. We do not do any interpolating, etc. of the data in order to allow more to be seen at one time. If you are scrolling back and you are not getting the data further back in time, then first thing to look at is whether this is a Continuous Futures Contract or not. In order to get the data further back than when the current contract started trading you would the chart to be set as a Continuous Contract. Refer to the following: Continuous Futures Contract Charts Otherwise, if it is a Continuous Contract and you are still not getting the data back to where you think it should be, then refer to the following: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Here is link: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1649858573310.png Something changed from when I did this procedure and I am now losing connection every about 5 minutes, it connects again, and then I have to wait till the charts start moving again another couple of minutes. All morning their was not a problem and I have not changed any settings for it to be going and disconnecting, it is on a loop like this. The platform on charts informs this: --Waiting for connection, --Waiting to download historical data --Downloading historical data bars may not appear until done --Download canceled and this is going on a loop right now. Please help. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-04-13 14:06:13

Both of your issues are related to the fact that you are using CQG data. The solution to both is to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed. CQG only provides a limited amount of historical data, and they do not provide anything for previous contracts. The Denali Exchange Data Feed has 1 tick data back to 2011 for the CME Group data. Also, in order to display the data going further back, you will need to use a Continuous Futures Contract Chart. Refer to the information here: Continuous Futures Contract Charts With regards to the connectivity, there has always been issues with connectivity to CQG. Refer to our information here on this: CQG Trading Platform Service: Frequent Server Disconnections when Using CQG When using the Denali Exchange Data Feed, it is our data feed and maintained by us, so you know we will do our best to ensure good connectivity. For more information on the Denali Exchange Data Feed refer to the information at the following link, which also includes Setup Instructions: Denali Exchange Data Feed For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John, Thanks for the reply, I am a bit confused, I am currently using 10 - Standard + Denali Data Feed (Monthly) since you mentioned I thought maybe a signed up incorrectly but I went to Account Control Panel and double-checked that I am in fact using Denali. Please let me know if there is a possible way to fix these issues I am having. Thanks. |

You are on Package 10, which includes the cost of the Denali Data Feed Fee. But it, in itself, does not get you the data. You need to go through the Setup Instructions and sign the agreements and activate the exchanges for the real-time data you want. The specific instructions for the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the CME Group can be found here: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Ok, understood need to activate data for this. John, last question I am only trading F.US.MESM22 and don't need anything additional but the bare basic feed. From the link below which option number do I need for this purpose? I am non-profesional. https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed Once Again Thank You, |

It depends on whether you need Market depth data or not. If you do not need Market Depth data, then go with the following: - CME non-professional top-of-book: $1.25 per month Otherwise, if you do need Market Depth data, then go with the following: - CME with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading accounts: $11.00 per month For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

If you are still using CQG you can still have connectivity issues which could be CQG specific. So using the Denali data feed does not prevent connectivity issues still. If you are trading CME Group you would need to use Teton order routing: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. John, As stated before I changed to Denali and signed up for the feed, I have run the procedure you mentioned several times but I am unable to get for F.US.MESM22 more data. Is the symbol correct for continuous data? Procedure done: Continuous Futures Contract Charts Instructions to Download/View More Historical Intraday Data Delete All Data And Download Is there anything I can do to remedy this? Please let me know, Regards, |

How far back in time do you want to get data for that symbol because it only began trading within the last two years.
