Hello Sierra team, Hope you're doing good. I am testing these bracket orders and it doesn't seem to work the way I think it would. I am not sure if that's because I am testing using Trading Evaluator and not a real trading platform. Please take a look when you have time. I have 3 targets and would like to move the stop to breakeven only after the 2nd is filled. In the attached picture, I've used the minimal targets here for the test. After the 2nd target is filled, the stop was still sitting at 40 ticks from the entry. I've ensured that the group for "Target 2" is "OCO Group 2". Thank you. |

We have tried this on the Trading Evaluator to ensure there was nothing wrong, and it works as expected for us. Please double check that the OCO Group 2 is the 2nd target and that you do not have any instructions for Step #2 of the Stop that might be causing a conflict. Hello John, Thanks for taking the time to test it out. Yes, OCO Group 2 is correctly set and nothing is Step #2 either. If it's working for you then I am not sure what's wrong on my end. I also tried "Offset in Ticks Triggered" as the type and that works fine. But with that, if I use the same number of ticks as target 2, it might touch the price and move the stop, but the target 2 order might not have been filled yet. I could use target 2 + 1 tick to ensure that it's filled, but I've seen target 2 get filled, but the price would come back right from there as well. The OCO Group Triggered would be the most effective way if I could get it to work. I've attached another picture to show you the entire setting. Let me know if you want me to test it another way. Thanks. |

If you can save this as a Trading Configuration and then attach the configuration file to this thread we can take a look and see if there is something in there causing the issue. Refer to the following to save a configuration: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Saving Trade Window Configuration And refer to the following for how to attach a file to a thread. Keep in mind the Trade Configurations have the extension .twconfig: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

That Move to Breakeven Stop works correctly for us on the Trading Evaluator.

Thanks for testing. I just tried again and it's still a no go for me. If the same file is working for you then maybe something's wrong with my copy of the installation. When I have time, I'll try to update to the newer version to see if that could help. Anything else you would suggest in order to troubleshoot this? Also, something I've just noticed this time is that once the 3rd target is hit, I get this message in the Trade Service Log window: "Order modification failed | Trading Evaluator (Order cancel/replace reject). Info: Order modification failed (InternalOrderID) | Order is not in a working state. Order cannot be modified. Text: Attached order. Parent: 9484. Tag: Test.twconfig. Internal Order ID: 9486. Service Order ID: 2062658. Symbol: MESM22. Account: SIM03-2022 | 2022-04-14 06:28:56.823 *" So, it looks like it's not being ignored but just won't trigger for some reason. Thanks. |

No this could not be the case: then maybe something's wrong with my copy of the installation

Yes, I believe so even though I am not sure how to confirm. It showed up in the log only after the 3rd target was reached. That makes me think that it didn't move to breakeven after the 2nd target is reached, but it appears to be trying to move only after the 3rd is reached, however, the trade was over.

You can confirm this in the Trade >> Trade Activity Log. Locate the order there and look at its order type. That rejection means that the order had filled before it could be modified.
