Hi,
My PC quit about a week ago and found out it was a failing SSD. That's fixed and now I'm trying to figure out how to load the Chartbooks, etc., from my external HD. I've done this in the past but am having trouble here. I'm using the "Sharing a Chartbook with Another User or Copying it to Another Installation" section in the support area and it states:

"Go to the Data Files Folder on your system through the file manager program in your operating system.
If you will be providing the Chartbook file to another user, then you will need to provide that user a copy of the Chartbook file.

If you will be copying the Chartbook to another installation of Sierra Chart on a different computer, then you will need to copy it to the other computer. Otherwise, if you will be copying it to another folder on the same system, then you can just simply Copy it from the source folder and Paste it into the destination Data Files Folder. Refer to the next step to determine the location of the destination Data Files Folder.
The Chartbook file needs to be copied/saved to the Data Files Folder in the destination copy of Sierra Chart where it will be used. To determine the location of the Data Files Folder in the destination copy of Sierra Chart where you will be using a copy of the Chartbook, select Global Settings >> General Settings in this copy of Sierra Chart. Look in the Data Files Folder box. That folder is where you need to save the Chartbook to."

I'm thinking of the external HD as the separate PC and have loaded the Chartbook file from the external drive to the "C" drive under Data and then ChartbookGroups. Under the Global Settings and General Settings and Data Files Folder in SC's, I browse to ChartbookGroups under data and try to add there and it won't work (I don't know what the "A" and "C" mean to the right of "Browse" but have tried both and neither work). Anyway, having loaded it from the external HD to the C drive and then SC's and trying to add it under General Settings should work but I'm missing something. I've also tried to add the Chartbook under "File" and "Open Chartbook Group" and "Search" with no luck. Any ideas on this?

Thanks...

Hi,

Ignore everything from my earlier post as I've figured it out.

My SC subscription lapsed while down. I'm all paid up to date now but have no data feed so I'll be working on that shortly.

Also, I was set up with Teton but I'm not sure if that will still be in effect so that's something else.

I may have further questions, but we'll see.

Thanks...

Hi,

Please note my earlier posts in this thread. I'm currently unable to get the Denali data feed/Teton order routing working. I'm receiving a "Service Connection Error" when trying to log in. It states, "Connection error message from service: Teton CME Order Routing Connection error: No trade account assigned."

When checking the account in a chart order entry window I have only "Sim 1" whether connected to the "SC Data-All Services" or the "Teton CME Order Routing" under Global Settings - Data/Trade Service Settings. So, with the download to the new SSD it seems that my live account needs to be assigned somehow simply through SC's or through my broker or? I'm stuck here and don't know what to do next but it seems if my live account is active, that may solve things.

Can you help?
Thanks...

Set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Clearing Firm to Advantage/Stage 5.

And then connect with the data feed with File >> Connect to Data Feed.

Hi,

Under the Data/Trade Service Settings Main Settings I've got:

Teton CME Order Routing (trading)
Advantage/Stage 5
0
Load
Save
Delete

Under the Data/Trade Service Settings Common Settings I've got:
Yes
Yes
1 Second
186
186
Yes - Allow Support for SC Data Feeds- tried with Yes and No and still the same error message...
4000
0
Yes
No
No

I'm still getting the Service Connection Error - Teton CME Order Routing / Connection error: No trade accounts assigned

Any ideas here?

At this point you need to contact Stage 5 and give them your username in Help >> About from within Sierra Chart.

And have them make sure that your account is set up on the Teton system.

Hi,

There was an error. Instead of Stage5/Advantage it should have been the clearing firm which is Dorman.

It works now and across the header for the SC main page there is the WorkSpace name, then Teton CME Order Routing and after the time, Mon [Sim].

I don't think the "[Sim]" is correct as Denali is for live trades only.

Any ideas here?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for all the info and help. I thought that the Denali feed only worked for live trades and that SIM was not an option for it. That's not correct? I'd love to run a few SIM trades through just to make sure everything is working right.

One final issue here. The RTH and ETH sessions are way off in regard to starting and closing at the designated times I'd like. I'm in CST in the US and would like an ES session to open @ 08:30:00 and close @ 14:59:59, etc... What I have is way off. I remember this same thing happening in the past and was an easy fix but am unsure what to do. Can you help?

Thanks...

Yes that is not correct. You can do simulated and live trading.

Regarding setting the Session Times for the chart, refer to:

And refer to this section here for setting the time zone:
