Hi I have moved brokers from Advantage to EdgeClear (Phillip Capital) and at the same time moved to Teton. Since changing this, I am not receving data although Sierra is showing as connected. I have spoken to broker who believes everything looks correct and asked me to contact you. Regards |

You are signed up to get real-time data for the CME Group and EUREX. The most likely situation is that you did not update your symbols when you changed order routing services. Therefore, the first thing to do is to select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service. If you are still not getting the data after that, then we would need to see your Message Log by following these instructions: Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log: Message Log: Clearing the Message Log Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart. Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect". Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed". After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog We will then determine what the problem is. Hi That has resolved it mainly, so thanks for the advice. However, a remaining issue I have is that a number of charts configured to show long term historical data, are only showing a few weeks worth. However, it is not all of the charts configured this way, some are OK. |

If these are futures, then make sure that the charts are setup as Continuous Futures Charts in order to get data further back then the current contract. Refer to the following: Continuous Futures Contract Charts If you already have them setup as Continuous Futures and you are not getting data back to the Number of Days to Load, then refer to the following: Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Re-Downloading Continuous Futures Contract Data For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I have checked and this is all correct. Attached are a couple of screenshots of an example. You can see that there are still drawings on there from prior to my transfer marking up historical levels. Also you can see that there is no ability to scroll further back, although I configured for a large amount of history. I tried linking the screenshots as requested using the Edit >> Screen Images >> Upload Chart with Overlays function, but it did not show the scroll bar.

We are able to get all the data when we open the chart, so we are not sure what is happening. Please select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download, and when you get the Multiple Symbol Selection Window, then take a look and note the oldest symbol in the list. You should have to scroll up the list to get the oldest one listed. Please let us know what that symbol is. Also, please go to Chart >> Chart Settings >> Linking and tell us what items are set to be linked for this chart. Hello. The oldest one is Z94. OK, so when, within that window, if I Select All, I then get the historical data. I didn't have to do that previously, I just set the value in the "Days To Load". Is this a change with the new version?

If there has been some previous issue with downloading historical data you do need to select all of the symbols in the symbol selection window and re-download the data again.

OK, understood. But, by standard, just set the number of days? Only select all the historical contract symbols if there has been an issue with the data, right? So, for example, I'm looking at a new symbol, just set the number of days to load for all the history I wish to see, no need to select all the individual contract symbols to cover that date range?
