Hi - I've been managing the accounts set up as ProjectX for the last 9 years with 3 studies we offer programmed by Onn Benzi. We have a registration form on the websites written by Onn also, but although it appears to be operating correctly, the few new users we are getting don't seem to appear in the account CP. I tested this myself and something perhaps has changed to prevent successful registrations. The last I see is back in October 2021. Has the URL of your API changed or anything like that? I wonder if you can throw any light on this. |

Your users will need to register accounts directly on website. You will then be able to enable them for your studies.

Hi Max - this is not how it's worked for the last 9 years though. I have a client who signed up to yourselves with username **. Hi email is ** - If I search his email on my account CP I find his previous accounts in 2016 and 2018 with a different study of ours, but I cannot see his recent registration. How am I to give him the study he requires without the account CP?

@User92899: You will need to ask the user for their Sierra Chart username, they can find the username under "Help >> About" within Sierra Chart. Ok well that's not a page I've used before as far as I can remember. It does tell me that 'Empress888' was added on 2022/02/09 however I don't see how a specific study is assigned to that user. I've always used https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php and if I go there that account name does not appear. We have 3 studies and the users are assigned them if they log in via one of the 3 web forms - it's always been automatic and I just use an account search to be sure a user has the right files available if they have a problem. |

I realise now I was misunderstanding the link you sent with our 3 studies - however can you tell me why I no longer see these new accounts in the https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php page?

Ok - I can see that. It's a shame that I've lost the facility to search a username/account ID. When I get a support request my first action was to search and see if the account was restricted, which study they had registered for etc - that's not easy now, so I'll end up here asking lots of questions! Is there nothing that will replace the account control panel? It was a very useful feature. |

It's useful to be ble to search by either account ID or email. Some people register with email accounts which are not the ones they contact me with. I usually try the name first, then the email. It's the 'Search for an Account to Edit' option on the Account CP I've always used. It's still there, just doesn't seem to populate with recent subscribers. |

Thanks. Just so you know, our registration form generates an email to me when someone makes an error. Often they seem unable to understand how to proceed, despite my best efforts to make things clear. When I receive these emails I ususlly check through the control panel to see if they have managed to create an account and if it should be working properly. I can then email them to point them at downloading SC and signing in with their credentials. A sort of pro-active support which has worked pretty well. However, I don't see these new people now on the CP so I'm unable to do this currently. It would be great if you can restore it. Thanks, Colin |
