So this started a few weeks ago and I was hoping it was going to get fixed with the next update. It hasn't so here I am. All my windows are detached. The main Sierra Chart window remains minimized. Whenever I use the screen images/save chart to file function all my taskbars pop up and won't go back down until I maximize the Sierra Chart main window. This also happens when I save changes on chart settings and a few other random functions. It is highly annoying to have to keep doing this. I've never had to before and my settings have been this way for well over a year. When the task bar "unhides" it blocks all the info on the bottom of my charts until I maximize the main page. I have 6 screens. Help! >_< |

https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/31779/fixing-when-the-windows-taskbar-refuses-to-auto-hide-correctly/#:~:text=Make%20sure%20that%20the%20%E2%80%9CAuto,again%20will%20fix%20your%20problem. When you’re using the auto-hide feature for the Windows taskbar, it will stay hidden until an application needs your attention. For regular apps, this usually means the app’s taskbar button starts flashing at you. For example, the Skype app will flash its taskbar button when you receive a new call. In this case, you can simply click that taskbar button to let the app know you’ve seen what it needs you to see and the taskbar will hide again.
For the most part, these issues are by design, and are straightforward to solve—either give the app the attention it wants, or configure it to stop asking for your attention.
I believe this is the problem. Sierra Chart is "requesting my attention" whenever I take screenshots or change a basic chart setting. It NEVER did this before a couple weeks ago. |

After suffering through this for weeks I think I found a workaround lol. If I leave the Sierra Chart main window up and then go down and click on the detached windows that go on the same monitor as the main Sierra Chart window, overlaying it, the taskbars stop popping up (because the main page is not minimized, it's just covered). The reason I don't leave any charts attached to the main window is because they don't maximize as fully as those on my other monitors.
