Hello, Thank you for taking the time to respond. I appreciate it very much. I am able to open Historical Daily charts (File-> Find Symbol-> Futures – CME-> F.US.CA6?## | Canadian Dollar – CME) but when I change the Daily chart to an Intraday chart or click on “Open Intraday Chart” for the same symbol, I receive an error message saying “Download Failed. Error downloading historical Intraday data for F.US.CA6MXX. The symbol is unknown to the server.” This happens for symbols F.US.CA6Z14, and for all H, M, U and Z contracts from 2013 back to 2007. Both Daily and Intraday Historical charts and data load for H, M, U & Z contracts from 2015 to present. I’ve tried to sort this out myself and in my search found - Sierra Chart Historical Data Service - and under “What Is Included” it says “Prior to this the CME/NYMEX/COMEX/CBOT data is in 1 minute units and begins at June 2008.”, so I understand I should be able to access intraday historical data back to June 2008. I’ve also tried "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download" and I received the same error message “Download Failed. Error downloading historical Intraday data for F.US.CA6MXX. The symbol is unknown to the server.” Again, thank you for taking the time to help me out with this. Thank you kindly. |

You are not using Sierra Chart provided data. You are using CQG data and we do not provide technical support for that data. And CQG does not have the data that you require. If you require real-time and historical data in the same installation of Sierra Chart you need to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. Thank you for getting back to me. I really appreciate it. I believe I've switched over to the Denali Exchange Data Feed because in my Historical Daily charts there's an "[M]" after the contract name but I'm still having the same issue with the Historical Intraday charts. When I change the Historical Daily chart to an Intraday chart or when I click "Open Intraday Chart" a chart window opens but nothing is produced for the H, M, U and Z contracts from 2010 to 2007. I understand that according to - Sierra_Chart Historical Data Service - and under “What Is Included” it says “Prior to this the CME/NYMEX/COMEX/CBOT data is in 1 minute units and begins at June 2008.”, so I understand I should be able to access intraday historical data back to June 2008. Kindly advise. Thank you. |

You should be able to get data from the Denali Exchange Data Feed. If you are still having issues, then get us your Message Log by following these instructions: Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log: Message Log: Clearing the Message Log Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart. Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect". Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed". After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog We will then determine what the problem is. --------------- Separately, we see that you have multiple exchanges activated for the CME Group that are redundant for each other. For instance, if you want to get data for all of the CME Group with Market Depth, then you just need the Full CME Group with Market Depth exchange activated. You will want to deactivate those exchanges that you do not need before the end of February, or you will be charged again for them. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
