Hi, Let me first state that i'm a new trader and a new potential user of sierra. I did look through the documentation a little, but what i should pick is still confusing to me. I do know i wonna trade the cme futures. I was either looking at service package 5 or 11, cause of market depth and volume profile tool. There is also the question of brokers. I need one that supports sierra charts and eu customers. If i understand correctly, service package 11 is the denali feed, that is sierra's feed, so i would not have to rely on the brokers feed ? And then there is the teton order routing thing that adds on top of all that. You gotta have denali enabled and have a broker that supports teton right ? So a lot of options, and i just want to start correctly from the beginning, without needing to change anything down the road. Hopefully you guys can help. Wish the site was a little bit more streamlined and better looking. Feels like i went back to the 90's :) But what is most important is the platform itself and that is one of the best there is. |

Just to share my experience with Interactive Brokers. I am trading MES and using Interactive Brokers for many years, I was thinking to switch to an US broker, but most of them either do not accept Canadian customers or require a much higher capital than US residents, hope they would treat EU customers differently. I am actually very happy with IB, the only reason I considered to switch is that their margin requirements are high. As an EU resident, you can pretty much do everything with IB (Futures, Stocks, Options, CFDs and Forex) I have Denali, I don't need to connect to IB to download historical data (5 days for 1-tick data and unlimited for 1-second data), but for live streaming data, I do have to connect to IB (with IB's API) According to Sierra, IB will never support Teton, which doesn't bother me at all, I trade 1-2 contracts, the executions are always lightening fast anyway. In terms of Sierra's web site, I am actually so grateful that Sierra uses limit resource on improving the Sierra Chart, (which they have been doing a phenomenal job!) than on aesthetic looking of their web site. Good luck! |

Once you have the denali feed you do not need another feed, but my understanding is CME fees ($11) for depth of market still apply. You will have to have some sort of order routing, if your broker supports Teton, then you will only have to pay for Denali and the CME fee for market data. (CME fee paid thru Sierra Account). I am kind of new myself, but this is my understanding. If you don't have teton routing, you will have to pay thru your broker for a order routing connection (when I first started I used a CQG connection thru my broker). I don't use Volume Profile, so I have package 10. Monthly fees + CME depth of market is all I pay as my broker supports Teton (I live in US). In my experience, most everything is month to month, so you have the option to change it up after a month if you want. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-01-30 13:37:36

Im using Daneli MBO and was trading through Rithmic which are very good as an execution venue. I have switched to Teton as of 2-3 weeks ago and am very happy with the execution even though I am thousands of miles away from the CME. My IB is Edge Clear (which have several clearing firms they work with) and they are extremely professional and have competitive rates and especially great customer support. Teton right now are a very good deal in terms of cost especially if you trade high volume (2000, 3000 lots and above/month) and also its a good way to support Sierra and their future plans. As of today, I can recommend the above combination with confidence . |

A lot of people suggest teton it seems. That would be package 11 for me if i wonna go advanced. What if i wanted to go with package 5, so not use denali ? Does that mean i would have to pay the broker a seperate fee for routing ? So lets say i go with package 11, that would be 46$ a month+ teton is free correct ? So that is all the fees i would have to pay, correct ? I'm just trying to clear things up and also figure out the optimal solution. |

Those are great questions for a broker. They are the ones that set everything up.

You can use service package 5 with the Teton Order Routing Service, but in this case you just have delayed data only. This is the only difference between that package and package 11. There are no other cost impacts at all.So lets say i go with package 11, that would be 46$ a month+ teton is free correct ? Yes this is correct.
