"Move To Breakeven for Stop" did not work...

This is what I pulled from the Trade Activity Log. My Buy order stop price was above the last trade price. Luckily I was in front of my computer and manually enable the Break Even button. This is the second time this has occurred. Now I am concerned. Please advise. If this helps...I have "Move To Breakeven for Stop" Step 1 Type "Offset in Ticks Triggered" set to "BE Level Offset" set to 4. Step 2 "Trigger Offset" set to 12. Step 1 did not happen when it should have and Step 2 did not happen.

Correction on post 2. Step 2 I was referring to should have said Step 1 for the Trigger Offset. And yes, the correct price for the Stop order to be moved to was 14295.75. The original order was placed at 14296.75 and the trigger price was 14293.75. As you can see in the Trade Activity the market went low enough to trigger Step 2, which is set at "Trigger Offset" at 32 or the price of 14288.75. But that was also rejected.

How can I find out what went wrong? The time and sales cannot be used, because I cannot go back far enough to see my time. And if order is rejected, do I lose my stop with no protection?

We are looking this over in detail, and improving the logging so we can see exactly when step 1 and step 2 were triggered. Still this is fairly clear from the existing log but we just want to go over this more carefully and then come back to you later in the evening. We also heard from Advantage on this. Update, I now know what happened and everything worked properly. Yes the first step to breakeven was rejected at the exchange level because of a fast moving market. What I did not realize that after the rejection, the stop reverted back to it's original price. After the market moved further the second step initiated and was successful, but I did not realize that because the price was of out of my viewing range on the Dom. What I now understand is that when you click on the BE button on the trade window, that step one is initiated and it moved my second step back to the first step. Hope that was clear enough, and now I know is I do not loose my protection upon a rejection. And that is what is important. Thanks |
