Is it possible to build a Renko chart based on historical data? I have attached a screenshot of what I am trying to achieve.

In Sierra, it seems when I increase the tick size by too much, the blocks no longer are constructed properly and the chart looks like a normal candlestick chart.

I realize this is likely due to the use of intraday tick data, whereas the screenshot builds the chart based on time-based data, price movement, and ATR block size calculation.

I find the type of chart in the screenshot very useful for determining significant levels over a long period of time and wonder if there is a different function in Sierra that will allow me to do something similar?

No. This is not supported.

We do not understand how the chart that you are referencing is established.

The information on Renko charts in Sierra Chart can be found at the following link:

We have set this as a User Discussion, as hopefully others that have used TradingView are familiar with this and can help you.
