I ping my cqg ip address often. When there was a CQG API and a Fix there was always a 3-5 ms difference in the 2. Before I switch to Teton I would like to see the IP address so I can ping it from my location in Oklahoma and also from a friends computer in Aurora Illinois.

Could someone post this IP address please.

You can determine the IPs from these:
"futurestrading2.sierracharts.com"
"futurestrading1.sierracharts.com"
"futurestrading7.sierracharts.com"

And in any case, to base a decision on ping times makes no sense. The location is colocated with the exchange. CQG does not co-locate with the exchange. Perhaps you would get a longer ping time, if you could determine it. But that does not mean anything because if the exchange is further away than where CQG servers are located, then of course the ping time would be longer but this is meaningless.

More importantly though, none of these IPs will respond to a ping. The network we use does not respond to pings. This is no different than TT, they do not respond to pings either. A properly secured network will not respond to pings. This is not some kind of Web API Gateway like CQG users.

I checked these 3 IPs with PingPlotter Pro and the route doesn't look good (see screenshots attached).

I am in Austria and have A1.net FTTH connection, what kind of peering information should i give my IPS to make the route to Chicago work better?

Should I find another IPS that can peer with Hurricane Electric?

Thanks for the help!

The primary connection and the connection which will be used almost all of the time is futurestrading2.

It also looks like the connection is quite direct from what we see in that screenshot. It goes from your ISP over to Zayo which is the ISP that it is used.

We cannot provide any further help.
