I have one IB account and I just had 1 AMP future account. I have 2 different Sierra chart , one for IB and one for AMP So from my AMP connection. I connect to the CQG WEBAPI I got data from you Symbol : ES-202203-GLOBEX Trade symbol : MES-202203-GLOBEX-USD I check Use as trade only symbol. Then when I try to trade , I get No trading permissions. I contact AMP futures and they said to chekc with you guys , what is the right symbol. As the F5 - find , give me the one above. I got this now from your resources : F.US.ZSES4N18 Will try to see how I can get it from the F5 did the symbol edit from server too , still cant find it. F.US.MES?## is what i find in the list - Ill try something F.US.MES1N22 - wont work ... i try 1 to 10 before the N I need help ! cant make it work - My subinstance from my second SIERRA CHART is leaching from my first sierra chart, how to fix it ? ---- I think this will fix my problem. Its the subinstance issues of the CQG load of sierra charts. ALl this is fine ! thanks But want to have the Sub Solve for this , As I will use them for sure , at the same time. thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-12-16 18:36:30

You use the term "Sub Instance" at one point, so we want to make sure that you actually have 2 completely separate installations of Sierra Chart, and not that you are using a Sub-Instance (by selecting File >> New Instance). Please let us know. If you do have two different installations, then for each one select Global Settings >> General Settings and ensure that the folder defined for Data Files Folder is the correct "Data" files folder for each installation (in other words, make sure that this is not set to the same folder in both installations of Sierra Chart - they need to be different). The correct format for CQG symbols is F.US.nnn?## where nnn is the symbol, ? is the contract month and ## is the 2 digit year. So for the ES this would be F.US.EPH22. You can always select the option Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service to update the symbols in your chartbook to what they should be for the currently selected service. Or, you can select the symbol through the Find Symbol window. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Yes its 2 seperated sierra chart program. But I duplicate the first one , then change the data connection. And the data folder is the right one for both. I manage to make it work on the MAIN CQG instance. But CQG sub instance still load data from IB instance. I think we need to edit the local host. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-12-16 19:06:28

Ok, we think we know why this is happening, and you will just need to make a couple of changes to get things to work out. But let's check some items first. On each of the Main Instances (IB and CQG) please do the following: - Select Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings - Select the tab for DTC Protocol Server - On that tab look for the following entries and tell us what they are set to: - Listening Port - Historical Data Port Again, we need to know what those are set to in both the Main instances for IB and CQG. ok IB INSTANCE UDP PORT : 22904 Listening PORT : 11099 HISTORICAL DATA PORT : 11098 -------------- CQG instance UDP PORT : 22904 Listening PORT : 11099 HISTORICAL DATA PORT : 11098 so both are the same, For sure i will have to change some value , what are acceptable values ? thanks for your help ! |

Yes, you will need to change one of these. The numbers you change them to do not really matter, as long as they are over 10000. You can use 12000 and 12001 for instance. Before you make the change, be sure you exit from all Sub-Instances for that particular installation. Then update the Listening Port and Historical Data Port (you do not need to do anything with the UDP port, unless you are actually using that - which you will know if you are). Then you can start your Sub-Instances again and they will use the correct ports.
