Happy Holidays :)

My first time setting up OIL and Energy charts in Sierra. I have the CQG, Denali, Sierra platform setup.

According to my understanding, I am paying for NYMEX thru Sierra/Denali.

The data loads to the .cht template i was provided by trade pro academy, but there's no real time feed... (some charts throw the not found error)

I just checked with AMP, I am set up correctly. I'm trying to load NYMEX products for the first time, and despite doing it manually and via rollover etc from a January template, I keep getting symbol not found. I've tried CLEF22 and F.US.CLEZ21...

misc...
what's the best way to align the charts so that you don't have to scroll to ensure one is at the current price and centered?
if I screw up a chart and don't want to start over (without a save), how do I go back to it's happy state?

thx

Dwayne

The first thing we want you to do is to open the Chartbook you are wanting to work with and select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service. This will update the symbols that were set for each chart to the service you have selected (sounds like CQG in your case).

Let us know if that resolves your issue or not.

With regards to the chart messing up, the easiest thing is to simply not save it. Then close the Chartbook (again, do not save) and then you can re-open the Chartbook and it will be in the state from the last save.

There are also Backups made from each time you start Sierra Chart that you can access. Refer to the following:
Chartbooks (Workspaces): Accessing a Backup Chartbook File

hi again,

I have tried that method a few unsuccessful times... Most of the charts have data, broken looking, but no feed.

I tried F.US.CLEZ21 and F22 to no avail...

thanks on the backups info, I may leverage that someday, but I'd still like your help in striking oil plz :)

No this is not the case. You need to activate the NYMEX exchange from here:

And it sounds like you want to use a Constant Range Scale:
