initial balance not plotting correctly

i have a duplicate chart one is a 3 tick range bar chart and the other is a one minute chart' i have just noticed that the initial balance low is a few ticks different on them this is the 2nd time i have noticed it do i need to change the settings on the rnge bar one to align the time as settings on both are the same at the minute nd its plotting different lows and highs?

Have had this problem too. If you use a non time based chart, it plots the IB at the high or low of the bar irrespective of the time settings in the study. Best solution has been to plot the IB on a 15 or 30 min chart and use the study/overlay.

You are definitely going to have differences when using a time-based chart versus a non-time-based chart. Items like the Initial Balance that are looking for a specific time are not going to stop intrabar. Therefore, the entire bar that contains the time is going to be taken into consideration. As noted above, if the time is the important item, then you would need to have a time-based chart that has the bars starting/stopping at the appropriate interval in order to get the data as you want it, and then overlay it to a non-time-based chart. What is the time period of the initial balance? And what is the time period of the bars for the chart bars based upon a fixed amount of time?
