historical chart download

Recently the historical charts are having to download multiple times a day for every individual symbol I follow (about 200). This causes the charts to jump around as the current day is loaded for every symbol and I have to go through every symbol so they all download. They used to download once (the first time I opened a symbol in the morning) then it would be good for the rest of the day.

Is there anyway I can download historical data for all symbols in the associated watch list similar to how the intraday file update list works but not continuous? Like I click Download Historical Data for associated watch list, and all the symbols update? If not, is there something that changed that I need to fix?

Thanks

We are not understanding this. Do you mean this download is happening automatically or are you manually doing it?

the download happens when i select a symbol manually the first time. i have to go through each symbol every morning so they are all downloaded, usually it doesnt need to download again for the rest of the day. now it seems like something resets and i have to do it again 2 or 3 times a day and was wondering if there is a better way to download then for me to click through 200 symbols.

ill attach a picture of what it looks like when the download completes for each symbol

We want to make sure we clearly understand this.

Please have a look at this chart:

There is an Associated Watch List we have set up for the chart with a few symbols. As we click through those symbols, if the historical chart data has not been downloaded within the last 24 hours, a download will be done.

As we click through the symbols again, there is no download that occurs.

As you click through the symbols in your watch list, do you notice a download is occurring every time you click on a symbol?

Or do you notice a download occurs if about two hours has elapsed since you last looked at a symbol and then you go to that symbol in the chart? If this is happening, it is because of a recent change . We would have to think about how to solve this.

yes, it is about two hours after the last download occurred. normally it would be one download per symbol per day and that is it, now it downloads about every 2 hours.

having a way to download historical data for every symbol in the associated watch list would also solve the problem of manually clicking through symbols every morning, which is why i mentioned the associated watch list. i use a quote board

This will be solved in the next release.

The way to download data for all of the symbols in the Associated Watch List is by using Chart >> Start Scan.

Before doing the scan make sure Chart >> Only Symbols in Watchlist is enabled.
