Any chart. If I thought it was symbol specific, that would have been in the initial description. I've tried AAPL, GOOG, AMZN, and SPY. |

In that Intraday chart it is not scrolled to the very end. Before taking an image of the chart, select Chart >> Goto End of Chart. We also notice that you are using Interactive Brokers, so you will have a minefield of problems getting a lot of Intraday data. Sounds like you might be encountering pacing violations: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails37.html If so, the only help we provide is to refer you to help topic 37. If you want to look at a lot of historical Intraday data, the only solid choice is to use the Sierra Chart Historical Data Feed: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartHistoricalData.html Do not waste your time with Interactive Brokers. Only use Interactive Brokers for short-term Intraday charts. Going only back about 10 to 15 days. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. One thing we also wanted to mention this thread is that because you can only get a limited amount of historical Intraday data from Interactive Brokers reliably, you will need to use the Sierra Chart Historical Data service, which we mentioned in the prior post, to look at longer-term Intraday charts. So in this case you will need to install two copies of Sierra Chart. One to use with Interactive Brokers where you can look at Intraday charts which also are updated in real-time and have a limited amount of data. And another copy of Sierra Chart to look at the charts which have a lot more historical data, by using the Sierra Chart Historical Data service: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartHistoricalData.html To install two copies of Sierra Chart, refer to the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/MultipleServices.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I was only trying to load 5 days of historical days (the most recent 2) and Sierra Charts returned 2 years of data ending 5 months ago.

We realize what part of the problem is. In Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings, the Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download setting most likely is set to 186 which is the default. This works fine with all other services supported by Sierra Chart. In the case of Interactive Brokers it should be a small number like 15. Recently we made this setting common across all supported services but did not consider how it is going to cause a problem with Interactive Brokers. Nevertheless, we did explain previously in a prior post in this thread that most likely you are getting "pacing violations" from IB and linked you to the relevant help topic which explains how to solve this. Here it is again: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails37.html As far as getting two years of data, we do not know how you determined that. In any case it would be because the data already existed for the symbol from another service you were using Sierra Chart with. Or you had increased the Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download. Yes. Typical "pacing violation" problem that we have heard probably at least 2000 times from Interactive Brokers users over the last decade. Probably more. Once again, help topic 37 is the relevant reference for this: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails37.html We also had a look at our IB set up instructions and it does express to set the Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download to 15. The Sierra Chart help topics, are very thoroughly and accurately written and provide very good reference material. This is why refer users to them. This is true of all of our documentation. Before we provide a link to a user, we review the documentation to make sure it is relevant, up-to-date and answers the question.
