I've created a demo account, but orders & trades are being defaulted to Sierra's "Sim 1" account. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.

My broker is AMP futures. At the moment I intend to trade sim, Im just confused between the demo account feature and the default "SIM1" account feature. I've set a balance on the Demo, which seems I cant do on the "SIM1" account. Hopeing to get a sample study going with a realistic balance($10,000). Also, I think its important to note that I am using a DOM to put in my trades, which I can see is directing orders to "SIM1" on the upper right of the trade window.

We are not sure exactly what you are referring to in terms of a "Demo" account that you created, as the particular situations you are describing do not make sense to us.

But, let's just talk about the difference between our "Simulation Mode" and our "Simulated Futures Trading Service".

Simulation mode, has the default account name of Sim1 and does not have an Account Balance. Additionally, the information is just stored on the local computer. For more information on Simulation Mode, refer to the following:
Trade Simulation

The Simulated Futures Trading Service acts more like the real trading service in which you have an account balance and margin requirements and orders are sent to our servers and can exist outside of the local Sierra Chart software. The information for this service can be found here:
Simulated Futures Trading Service

If you have setup an account for the Simulated Futures Trading Service, then be aware that you have to change the File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service to the appropriate service. This is covered in the above documentation.

Let us know if you need more help with this.

If you have an AMP account, you can use the nonprofessional CME exchange fees, instead of the professional ones. To take advantage of the nonprofessional ones you just need to enter your AMP account number here:
