There was an unexpected change with the decimal point positioning with currency futures data from OEC. This has caused some problems with market data when using Sierra Chart. We now have this issue resolved for users using the OEC Production environment. We do not have a solution for the simulation environment. So if you are using the OEC simulation environment, there will be some problems with currency futures market data and that will not be solved for the time being. If you are using the production environment, and have any problems with the display of currency futures charts, then follow the instructions below: Go to the affected currency futures chart and select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. It is necessary to use this command to fully re-download the data. If you do not want to use this command for whatever reason, then we cannot help you. Sierra Chart maintains historical data for at least five years for OEC for all of the major futures contracts. So there is no risk of losing data because the data is available on the Sierra Chart server. The next step is to make sure you have the correct symbol settings. Therefore, update the symbol settings as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings If you have any questions, let us know. Hi, I am unable to view the Micro Yen contract (MJY) in the DOM after these changes. It looks like the decimal point issue, as each price is quoted at 98500.0035, instead of 98.035. Standard 6J contract works fine. |

Hi, This is still not fixed, but I think I know why. There are two micro yen contracts - the USDJPY (M6J, with no liquidity) and the JPYUSD (MJY, which is the micro contract for the 6J JPYUSD contract). The M6Y works fine, but the MJY is still not working, showing prices of 102229.998 and such. I had to add this contract manually to SC, so perhaps thats why the issue still persists. |

MJY has now been correctly added. Update the Symbol Settings as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings Until this afternoon you may get a limited amount of historical data. OEC has changed the currency futures price formatting for the production environment on 2014-3-30. While we did expect a change would come sometime, we got no specific notice as to the date when this would occur. However, we have implemented the necessary changes for the major futures contracts. We have adjusted the historical data to match the new format for the current futures contracts only. Expired futures contracts have not yet been adjusted and that is a time-consuming procedure which we do not expect to complete for several more days. If you are using Sierra Chart and OEC for currency futures, then you need to do the following. - Update the symbol settings as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings -You will need to apply the settings to the existing charts following the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateChartSettingsSteps -You will need to re-download the data in your Intraday currency futures chart by going to the chart and selecting Edit >>Delete All Data and Download. This only needs to be done once for each symbol. Not each chart. If you are using the Continuous Futures Contract feature, it will be to be disabled for the time being until the historical data for expired futures contracts is adjusted. Therefore, set the following: Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >>Continuous Contract >> None for each of the currency futures charts.
