Control Bar button stays toggled after clicking

When I click on a control bar button, the buttons stays toggled/pressed. Before my upgrade to 2288, the button would reset. Is there a setting to have the buttons reset after clicking? There is a change related to this. We assume these are custom study control bar buttons?
