I have a study named “IP_A_Trade_210624” which behaves normally. Then I create a new one named “IP_A_Trade_210709”. It compiles, with source living in ACS_Source immediately adjacent to and just under “IP_A_Trade_210624”. Both object .dll files are situated in Data similarly. Problem: When I press “Add Custom Study” the new one fails to appear in the Studies to Graph window; both source and object are no-shows. Shut down / reload yields nothing. Only when I go to all the effort to change the name of the new study, with changes early in the new name (e.g., “IP_AA_Trade_210709”) does Add Custom Study behave itself. This phenom has been occurring now for several releases. Since this violates my super-sophisticated study-naming convention (just kidding), it does start to confuse my study-tracking brain a bit – “Gee, which prefix was I using when this SHTF started?” Is there a limit to the length of uniqueness in study names? Am I doing something else wrong? This not a 911 call – just annoying. |
