The ability to have a dropdown box to change symbols is a really convenient feature but it also needs to be able to pair with the chart trader so when you switch from futures to stocks it opens the correct files on chart trader. Ideally you could have a setup page that allows you to decide which chart trader file opens with which symbol. That way if you normally trade 1000 shares for a particular stock, the chart trader opens with the appropriate file and if you switch to the ES chart trader opens with the file that defaults to 5 contracts and finally if you switch to Bitcoin futures the chart trader defaults to 1 contract along with the stops and targets associated with the particular symbols. |

Related to this, you can set a Default Order Quantity for a symbol. Refer to the Global Symbol Settings: Global Symbol Settings Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. Since the Global Symbol Settings is already available it should include a setting for which Trade Window Configuration file is associated with which symbol. I think it also should have the option for default chart size i.e., 1 min, 100V, etc...
